DSOA is a 7.2 km² master–planned community, located on Dubai’s Emirates Road and within easy access to Dubai International Airport, Jebel Ali Port and Dubai’s central business districts.

Comprising office towers, R&D and industrial zones, educational institutions, apartments and villas, hotels, healthcare and a range of lifestyle facilities, DSO provides a dynamic commercial and social environment.

Villas

The Silicon Oasis compound consists of 560 villas, housing Emirates Airline Captains and First Officers and their families. The compound is broken into 4 blocks, entitled A, B, C and D blocks.

For recreation within the compound, there are 8 parks: 3 parks in A & C blocks and 5 parks in B & D blocks. There are also barbecue facilities and playgrounds situated around the compound.

The community center hosts a swimming pool, which is monitored by highly trained life guards at all pool opening times (9am to 8pm). Different services found in Dubai Silicon Oasis include a Spinneys supermarket, a video rental facility, a Costa Coffee shop, and a community gym (which houses a sauna, a eucalyptus steam room, a yoga hall, and several other recreational activities).

Pedestrian footpaths are located all around the complex. They are all landscaped with different varieties of plants and rock strips. Unfortunately, the rock strips have become home to the redback spider and the scorpion alike. Recently recycling facilities have been installed throughout the compound.
