is a village in East Ayrshire
with a population of around 3000. It is a former mining village. In it it has one primary school with a nursery school attatched, 2 pubs, a variety of shops, a bowling green, community centre, Church, Chapel, police station, funeral parlor and a health centre. There used to be a station but that was closed after the mining ceased and is now a house. Drongan is situated 8 miles from Ayr
and 10 miles from Cumnock
. It is also home to Rangers F.C.
