Dromaeosauroides

Dromaeosauroides

Dromaeosauroides is a genus of dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous, discovered in the Jydegaard Formation on the island of Bornholm, Denmark. It is believed to have been a dromaeosaurid, and is only based on a 21-mm tooth crown.

The type species, D. bornholmensis, was described by Per Christiansen and Niels Bonde in 2003, and is the first dinosaur found in Denmark. The discovery was made by 18-year-old Eliza Jarl Estrup. Dromaeosauroides is estimated to have been 2-3 metres long. It might be the only true dromaeosaur from the Lower Cretaceous of Europe.
