The , officially called , is an automated monorail that links Maihama Station and Tokyo Disney Resort. The system is operated by Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of Oriental Land Co., Ltd. that operates the resort.
Legally speaking, the line is built as a "railway (鉄道事業法)", just like ordinary rapid transits or commuter rail lines. As such, commutation passes are available, and, although Pasmo and Suica IC cards cannot be used on this line at present, the Passnet magnetic farecards discontinued elsewhere may still be used.
In reality, however, the line mostly functions as the gateway attraction of the Disney Resort. All the stations are inside the private property of Oriental Land, preventing unrelated advertisements that can distract the resort's view.
