Descriptive [dih-skrip-tiv]

Military history (descriptive)

Descriptive military history serves to chronicle conflicts without offering any statements about the causes, nature of conduct, the ending and effects of a conflict. Much of the early literature is descriptive, such as chronicles like Froissart's Chronicles or sagas such as Poetic Edda.
