Dane Carlaw (born 21 February 1980 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer. He currently plays for the French side, Catalan Dragons in the European Super League competition. His move to Europe follows a successful career in Australia's National Rugby League with the Brisbane Broncos. 2001 Ashes profile
A reliable workhorse in the second row, Carlaw won the Broncos' rookie of the year award in 2000 and also tasted premiership success with the club at the end of his first season. He goes in and out of form in patches but has represented Queensland and, at his peak, Australia. Carlaw's position of choice is Second row however he has also played Prop, Lock Forward and even Centre
Carlaw moved to Catalans after the 2007 NRL season.
While attending Padua College, Carlaw played for the Australian Schoolboys team in 1997.
