Damien Kane (born April 16 1960) is a retired American professional wrestler and manager best known by his ringname, "The Godfather of Extreme" or "The Godfather of Professional Wrestling" and is the husbund of former valet Lady Alexandria.
A mainstay of Northeastern regional promotions such as the Continental Wrestling Alliance and the National Wrestling Federation during the 1980s, he also had a brief stint in Extreme Championship Wrestling in early 1996.
During his stint in the National Wrestling Federation, Damien worked with Paul Heyman and played a part in starting Heyman's career as a commentator. Heyman later became a manager for Damien & D.C. Drake in the National Wrestling Federation as Paul E. Dangerously during the 1980s.
Dane also briefly appeared in the American Wrestling Association defeating "Surfer" Ray Odyssey on June 24 and June 25, 1988.
It was partly due to this relationship that Kane later ended up working for Heyman in Extreme Championship Wrestling, where he was best known under the name Godfather of Extreme and managed The Headhunters as well as tag-teamed with Devon Storm successfully defeating Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley at A Matter of Respect '96 and later feuded with the Bad Crew, a tag team he had formerly managed.
In late 1996, he and Lady Alexandria left ECW after making "inappropriate remarks" towards the then recently fired Missy Hyatt and made their last appearance at Natural Born Killaz '96 on August 24 when, following the defeat of Storm by Louie Spicolli, was attacked by Spicolli who twice used the "Spicolli Driver" on him. Relocating to Florida shortly thereafter, Kane and Alexandria later moved with their son Damien, Jr. to Texas to pursue an acting career in early 2007.
