Cora Coralina

Cora Coralina (Ana Lins dos Guimarães Peixoto-her given birth name) is an important Brazilian writer. She was born in August 20, 1889, and died in the city of Goiânia in April 10, 1985. She only published her first book after her husband died, in 1965. Cora continued to produce more books, becoming one of the most important Brazilian writers of her time.

Goiás is the city of Cora Coralina alive, there you can visit the Cora Coralina's House The big house where Cora Coralina (1889 - 1985) lived, one of the most admired Brazilian poetesses, is located at one end of the bridge over Vermelho River. It is one of the first construction of Goiás, and a typical house from the 18th Century. The place inspired some of the beautiful poems written by Cora Coralina. There is a small museum in the house to honor this artist from Goiás.
