Colombian Coffee-Growers Axis

Colombian Coffee-Growers Axis (Spanish: Eje Cafetero de Colombia) a part the Colombian Paisa region famous for the growing and production of a majority of the Colombian coffee, which is renowned as some of the best coffee in the world. The axis is comprised of three departments: Caldas, Quindio and Risaralda. These departments are among the smallest departments in Colombia with a total combined area of 13873 km² (5356 mi²), this amounts to roughly 1.2% of the Colombian territory. The combined population is 2,291,195 (2005 census)

Offers some amazing trekking and the chance to see some of Colombia's top coffee cultivating land as well as the country's native palm tree - the Wax Palm, which grows up to 60 metres tall
