Clifford Dyment

Clifford Henry Dyment (1914 – 1971) was a British poet, literary critic and editor, and journalist, best known for his poems on countryside topics.

He spent his early childhood in Caerleon-on-Usk but was educated at Loughborough Grammar School in Leicestershire. His father was killed in World War I. His first published collection was First Day (1935). During the latter part of the 1930s he was a literary figure in London. During World War II he was engaged to make films, working for the British government.
