Church planter

A "church planter" is term used mainly in Evangelical Christian circles to describe the role of a minister or organization that starts new congregations where none existed previously. The primary example that is cited for this enterprise is that of Paul the Apostle. Contemporary church planters include Andy Stanley, John Wimber, Gene Edwards, and Richard Rossi.
