Catalan Republic

The Catalan Republic, also know Catalan State, is a state claimed by the Catalan independentism as a home of the Catalan people. The Catalan Republic has been proclaimed at least four times:

In 1641, by Pau Claris.
In 1873, by Estanislau Figueras as 'Catalan State'.
In 1931, by Francesc Macià as 'Catalan Republic within Iberian Federation'.
In 1934, by Lluís Companys as 'Catalan State within Spanish Federal Republic'.
