Route description
Route 705 begins at an intersection with
County Route 536 in
Winslow. Not far after the intersection, County Route 706 (Erial Road) begins and heads south. After the Erial Road intersection, Route 705 heads to the southeast, intersecting with local roads until the traffic light for
County Route 536 Spur. Route 705 heads eastward, intersecting with other local roads before intersecting and becoming concurrent with
County Route 704.
The concurrency ends a short time later, and Route 705 continues eastward towards Gloucester. The highway intersects with Berlin-Cross Keys Road (CR 689) on the town border. Route 705 continues eastward, intersecting with local roads before crossing over a few culverts. County Route 687 (Jarvis Road) and Route 688 (Hickstown Road) are the final intersections with County Routes by Route 705. However, Route 705 interchanges with New Jersey Route 42 before crossing the county line into Gloucester County.
History
In
2007, Route 705 was milled and resurfaced by Camden County from Jarvis Road (CR 687) and Hickstown Road (CR 688). Route 705 is planned for widening by Camden County from County Route 536 Spur to Berlin-Cross Keys Road (CR 689) under their Destination 2030 plan.
