California's 6th congressional district
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceCalifornia's 6th congressional district stretches up the Pacific coast north of San Francisco Bay. It covers Marin County and most of Sonoma County, including the cities of Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Petaluma, Novato, San Rafael, and Mill Valley. This district is currently represented by Democrat Lynn Woolsey. Before her, it was represented by Barbara Boxer, who resigned from the seat when she was elected to the U.S. Senate.
Voting
John Kerry received 70% of the vote in this district in 2004; George W. Bush received 28%. The district voted for Phil Angelides 46.4-45.9% in 2006, Dianne Feinstein 73-20% in 2006, Barbara Boxer 68-28% in 2004, keeping Gray Davis 64-36% and Cruz Bustamante 44-33% in 2003, and Davis 53-29% in 2002.Election results
