Bognor Regis and Littlehampton is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.
Boundaries
The constituency is elongated in shape, running along the south coast of England. It includes the towns of Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.Boundary review
Following their review of parliamentary boundaries in West Sussex, the Boundary Commission for England has made alterations to all existing constituencies to deal with population changes. The modified Bognor Regis and Littlehampton constituency is created with the following electoral wards:
- Aldwick East, Aldwick West, Beach, Bersted, Brookfield, Felpham East, Felpham West, Ham, Hotham, Marine, Middleton-on-Sea, Orchard, Pagham and Rose Green, Pevensey, River, Wick with Toddington, and Yapton from the District of Arun.
History
Immediately prior to its creation in 1997, both towns were a part of the Arundel seat. Prior to 1974, Littlehampton was contained in Arundel and Shoreham, whilst Bognor Regis was in the Chichester seat.Members of Parliament
