The
Black Mountains of
Arizona are located in northwest Arizona with
Lake Mead bordering the north and
Hoover Dam and the south-flowing
Colorado River on the west;
Kingman, Arizona is just east. It is a 130 mile north-south range of mountains and hills. Three
wilderness areas are located in the mountains, one south of Lake Mead, and two in the extreme south of the mountain range, and west of the
Sacramento Valley (Arizona).
