Birla Corporation
Birla Corporation Limited, popularly known as Birla Corp is an Indian company based in Kolkata. It is the flagship company of the M P Birla group of companies.
In 1919, Shri Ghanshyam Das Birla founded the Birla Jute Manufacturing Company. This company diversified and expanded and was renamed to its present name to reflect the change. Today the company deals in products ranging from jute to cement, PVC floor covering and auto trims (jute felt-based interiors).
