Bhalwal is a town of Sargodha District in the centre of the Punjab province of Pakistan. The town of Bhalwal is the headquarters of Bhalwal Tehsil and lies in an agricultural area, close to the M-2 motorway, to which it is being connected by two interchanges. The town is named after a nearby village called Purana Bhalwal (Old Bhalwal),the name of Bhalwal is originated from Bhalwana.Bhalwana is one the most famous family of Bhalwal.Bhalwana family is landlord family of Purana Bhalwal. Bhalwal is the city of oranges(Mandrain). There are almost 150 orange processing plants.
Bhalwal town is located on Gujrat Phalia – Sargodha road at a distance of 30 km from Sargodha at its north. It is situated near motorway (M2) in the west at a distance of 11 km from Salam interchange. Lower Bhalwal Canal is passing at its north side at a distance of 3 km. It also lies on Sargodha – Malikwal – Lalamusa section of Pakistan Railway and has a railway station.
