The battle of Mimaomote the Battle of Mimaomote was a battle during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (16th century) of Japan.

The Battle of Mimaomote had been led by Chosokabe commander Kumu Yorinobu --equipped with 7,000 men-- into the province of Iyo on the Shikoku Island, in which he had attacked Doi Kiyonaga, the enemy commander. Kiyonaga crossed the Mimaomote river to meet Yorinobu within a fierce battle on the 21st of May, 1579. Throughout this conflict, Yorinobu was defeated and killed, resulting in the victory of Kiyonaga.
