Bassnectar is an electronic music freeform project based in Berkeley, California. Primarily a music project of Lorin Ashton, Bassnectar is also accompanied by various collaborators. Ashton describes Bassnectar's sound as "omni-tempo maximalism" fusing elements of midtempo Breakbeat, Big Beat, Old school hip hop and Dub, Drum and Bass, Grindcore, Hip hop, Bluegrass, and Jazz, utilizing samples from diverse sources.

Live Performance

Bassnectar performs live in support of acts like Sound Tribe Sector 9, Disco Biscuits, String Cheese Incident, Michael Franti, Heavyweight Dub Champion and KRS One, and FreQ Nasty.
