The Banu Kaab (Arabic: بنو كعب) are an Arab which settled in western Khuzestan, a province in southwestern Iran, during the 16th century CE.
Another branch of the Bani Kaab settled in the areas that are now Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
Individuals who are members of or are descended from the tribe often have the surname Kaabi al-Kaabi "al-kaibi" or "al-kaaibi".
Banu Kaab are one of the first family in the middle east (about 4000 years), their name means Kaaba. Many of them left the middle east to the maghreb like Tunisia Marrocco and other countries. In Tunisia, for example, Al-Kaabi Al-Kaibi Al-Kaaibi are from Kairaoun and they came to Tunisia with Okba Ibn Nafaa with the Aghaliba. The family existed before Islam and their native religion is Judaism.
