The Augusta Lynx are the ECHL team based in Augusta, Georgia. The Lynx currently play their home games at the James Brown Arena. The Lynx are currently affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL and the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL. The team is named in honor of The Masters golf tournament held in Augusta, as a slang term for playing golf is "hitting the links" (Lynx is a play on words of that title.)
