Ariel Zilber

Ariel Zilber (אריאל זילבר) (born September 23, 1943) is an Israeli singer-songwriter and composer. He is considered one of the most prominent musicians and singer-songwriters in Israeli music, known for his highly literate lyrics and for his simple yet profound style.

Zilber became a Baal Tshuva following the 2005 disengagment from Gaza and Zilber's exposure to religious Jews during the fight against the hitnatkut.

Zilber wrote and performed the song "Yesh Din ViYesh Dayan", a Jewish phrase meaning there is a judge and there is judgement, the song is about how God has begun punishing all those involved in the disengagement.

In October 2007 he said that he would support Yigal Amir's release from jail.
