Apac District

Apac is a district in northern Uganda. Like other Ugandan districts, it is named after its 'chief town'. It was the location of the infamous Aboke abductions by the Lord's Resistance Army.

Apac District had a population of 676,244 in 2002.

In 2006,Apac was divided in to two Forming Oyam District . This is the district where the first Architectoral Engineer in East Africa came from.(The Late DR Youfusa Okullo Epak).

Five sub-counties of Ngai ,Iceme,Achaba, Minakulu and Otwal were affected by the attrocities of the Lord Resistance Army. Thousand of people has in the Camp thous indering develpment in the war affected arears.
