Antonio Mirante
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceAntonio Mirante (born 8 July 1983 in Castellammare di Stabia, Naples) is an Italian footballer. As of 2006 plays for Juventus. he was transferred to the Italian Serie A club U.C. Sampdoria on a one-year loan deal for season 2007-08.
Mirante was loaned to Crotone in 2004, with Bartolucci, Guzman, Konko, Paro and Gastaldello.
In 2005 he was loaned to Siena with Legrottaglie, Tudor, Paro, Gastaldello, Packer, Molinaro, Cacciotto and Volpato.
He was back to Juventus in 2006 due to Juventus relegation to Serie B and was capped for the first time when first choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon was red carded against U.C. AlbinoLeffe in the 24th minute.
He was a member of Italy U-21 team in 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship, as an unused substitute. He has not made a debut in U-20 & U-21 level, despite having been called up 6 times.
