Anaheim University is one of the first online universities in the United States to offer graduate degree programs entirely online. The University is based in the City of Anaheim in Orange County, California USA and has branch offices in Irvine, California and Tokyo, Japan.
The University is made up of three graduate schools: the Graduate School of Education, the Akio Morita School of Business (named after Sony founder Akio Morita), and the Anaheim University Akira Kurosawa School of Film (named after Akira Kurosawa). The Institutes include the Anaheim University David Nunan Institute for Language Education (established to honor David Nunan), and the Anaheim University Kisho Kurokawa Green Institute (conceived by architect Kisho Kurokawa). The Kisho Kurokawa Green Institute and the Akio Morita School of Business were jointly developed through the interdisciplinary program "Online MBA in Sustainable Management", which is known as the world's first "Online Green MBA".
The University is best known for its online Masters Degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). The faculty of the Graduate School of Education includes Rod Ellis, Kathleen Bailey, Ruth Wajnryb, and David Nunan.
Anaheim University Studios, the University's digital film studios, are located in Irvine, California, United States.
The Anaheim University Akio Morita Learning Center is located on the former estate of Sony Founder Akio Morita in the Minami Aoyama district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan and serves as the University's hub in Asia.
