Afega

Afega is a small village on the Samoan island of Upolu. It is located on the central north coast of the island to the west of the capital Apia in the countryside.

There are no commercial business allowed to be established within the village such as stores which the ancestors believed would bring disaster to the community. Afega is known where High Matais are originated from.

It is the home of some of the great athletes who represented Western Samoa, such as:
