Ability Plus Software is a global software company, the producer of a suite of low-cost (when compared to its competitors), yet similarly-featured applications. The company's flagship product is Ability Office Professional, the premier edition of their award-winning office suite. Ability's worldwide software distribution is managed by Formjet.
History
The company was founded in the UK, in 1985, and by the end of that decade, had over a quarter of a million registered users. The company's early success was demonstrated when it won the Barclays Bank British Micro Computing Award, in 1987. Migent Software originally created Ability for DOS, a later revision Ability Plus included a relational database that was quite remarkable. Many of the shortcuts involving Function Keys appear in Microsoft's early Works versions. Migent Software was just gone one day, just as if they packed everything and left with no forwarding address.
