Ability Plus Software is a global software company, the producer of a suite of low-cost (when compared to its competitors), yet similarly-featured applications. The company's flagship product is Ability Office Professional, the premier edition of their award-winning office suite. Ability's worldwide software distribution is managed by Formjet.

History

The company was founded in the UK, in 1985, and by the end of that decade, had over a quarter of a million registered users. The company's early success was demonstrated when it won the Barclays Bank British Micro Computing Award, in 1987. Migent Software originally created Ability for DOS, a later revision Ability Plus included a relational database that was quite remarkable.
