Abigail Pierrepont Johnson (born December 19, 1961) is an American businesswoman. Johnson runs part of Fidelity Investments, a company led by her father, Edward Johnson.

In September 2008, her net worth was estimated at US$15 billion, tieing her for 15th place in Forbes List of the 400 Richest Americans. (Her father, with $11 billion, is tied for 28th place.)

Education & career

Johnson is an alumna of Buckingham Browne & Nichols school (secondary education), William Smith College (BA in art history, 1984), and Harvard Business School (MBA, 1988). She lives in Milton, Massachusetts.

After a brief stint as a consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton from 1985-86 and her MBA, she joined her father's company, Fidelity Investments, as an equity portfolio manager from 1988 until 1997. She was promoted to an executive role in Fidelity Management and Research (FMR) in 1997; was the president of FMR from 2001 until 2005, and as of 2008 runs the Fidelity Institutional Retirement Services.
