A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation (often referred to as Gunshot by fans) is Trivium's third single from their second album Ascendancy. It features mainly screamed vocals and what are generally seen as complicated solos by both Matt Heafy and Corey Beaulieu.

Meaning

The term "trepidation" means, as explained by Matt Heafy, "people who think they can harm another in their own family.
