A Family At War was a British television drama created by John Finch and made by Granada Television for ITV. The director was David Giles.

The series was transmitted between 1970 and 1972 and examined the lives of the lower middle-class Ashton family of the city of Liverpool and their experiences during the Second World War.

Fifty-two episodes were produced, all but eight of them in colour. Episodes numbers 25 through 32 were filmed in black and white because of a trade union dispute.

DVD Release

All episodes of A Family at War are available on DVD in the UK. The first series has been available in the USA from Amazon.com.
