80/20 Inc. is a manufacturer of T-slotted aluminum profiles and matching accessories. The company was founded by Don Wood and his sons Doug and John in 1989, at Columbia City, Indiana.

Products

Hardware

80/20's product lineup consists of fractional (inch) and metric sized T-slotted aluminum profiles. They also manufacture a light duty one-inch aluminum tube framing system, called Quick Frame, and a 1.5 inch prefabricated mid-duty framing system called the HT Series.

Software

Over the past fourteen years 80/20 Inc. has offered a free plug-in for the AutoCAD design software. The most current version of this software is called AutoQuoterX. It allows users to design frames using only 80/20 Inc. T-slotted profiles and most matching accessories. When a design is finished, a user can then generate a bill of materials used in that design.

80/20 Inc. also publishes a free profile stress calculator that can be used to figure the stress a given load will place on a T-slotted profile. 80/20 Inc. calls this software Deflection CalculatorX. This calculator will also determine the profile's deflection and column load stress. A measurement converter is also included with the Delfection CalculatorX software.

Services

80/20 Inc. has several services available to help the design and building process when using their framing systems. The company has a large in-house custom machining department that can machine anything offered in their catalogue, as well as others' materials which they do not offer. 80/20 sells their products through a large distribution chain. There is a link on their web site home page that displays a distributor lookup section. Distributors can help customers design and build anything using 80/20 products.
