FIFA's World Cup will have its 24th edition, 100 years after the first one. Uruguay is often mentioned as a possible host for this edition, because it hosted the inaugural edition in 1930 and there is even a project called Uruguay 2030 but, so far, no countries have yet officially offered to host the tournament.

The Time Machine (2002): Time traveller Alexander Hartdegen stops in this year 2030 where he talks to a holographic, artificial-intelligence librarian called Vox. Also in this year mining is occurring on the Moon for the development of lunar homes.

The Kid (2000): At the end of the movie where the main character finds his 70 year old self, but differing to other movies there were no changes in anything that was seen (planes, dinners and clothing).

Click (2006): A man named Michael used his remote control where he kept fast forwarding into the future. Eventually, he arrived at his son's wedding at 2030.
