2007 has been referred to, by film and media critics, as the "year of the threequels", a nickname referring to both the 2004 summer movie season and several film franchises which premiered or had installments released in 2004, which appear again this year: Spider-Man 3, Shrek the Third, Ocean's Thirteen, Resident Evil: Extinction, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, High School Musical 2, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, Live Free or Die Hard, Hannibal Rising, Saw IV and The Bourne Ultimatum, and in a larger sense to the large number of third installment films released that summer, such as: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Rush Hour 3.
