The 2007 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach was the second round of the 2007 Champ Car World Series Season, held on April 15 on the streets of Long Beach, California.
note: Paul Tracy was injured in practice between Q1 and Q2. Oriol Servia replaced him and drove his backup car in Q2 and will drive in the race.
The 33rd Toyota GP of Long Beach would have interesting plot twists, starting with Paul Tracy injuring his lower back during practice. Team Forsythe was forced to give up his ride to ex-PKV driver Oriol Servia. As reported Wally Dallenbach referred to it as "seeing your woman sleeping with another man". Besides that, the race was largely dominated by Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing's Sébastien Bourdais, who was trying to come back from the worst race of his career. The only challengers for Bourdais appeared to be only Servia, but rookie Tristan Gommendy held back Bourdais for 13 laps before being forced to pit for fuel.
Attendance at the 2007 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach was approximately 200,000 people over the race weekend with 100,000 of those fans in attendance for the Champ Car main event. This represented a 10% increase over 2006.
