The 2005 Orange Bowl represented the BCS National Championship Game of the 2004 season and was played on January 4, 2005 at Pro Player Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The teams were Southern California Trojans and Oklahoma Sooners. Both programs entered with undefeated, 12-0 records. The Trojans won their eleventh National Championship, beating the Sooners by a score of 55-19.
