"Through With Love" is an R&B/pop song of the American girl group Destiny's Child. It was written by Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Mario Winans and Sean Garrett for Destiny's Child fourth studio album, Destiny Fulfilled (2004).
This song was awarded Best Deep Cut at the 2006 Groovevolt Awards.
In verse two, Beyonce sings about her boyfriend always comparing her to the models on tv, and being upset with her and complaining to her because she wants to spend time with her family. Her boyfriend makes her feel dumb and alone, and she doesn't know what to do or where to go, so she finally proclaims that she is through with love.
In verse three, Kelly sings about sharing all her secrets with her boyfriend, even though some of the truths that she told may have hurt her. She explains how she stopped her growth and allowed him to control her, while all along feeling helpless. In the last part of Kelly's verse she explains how she couldn't be friends to anyone happy, and her boyfriend only wanted her to be miserable because he was miserable himself. She claims at the end that if her relationship with her boyfriend is what love is, then she doen't want love anymore.
In verse four, Michelle asks herself why does she feel so empty. She explains how she cries out for stability. Her boyfriend destroys her insecurities, and she wants someone to pray for her. Michelle goes on to explain that she needs love not like any other ordinary love, that will restore her joy, wisdom, and courage. Michelle then tells the Lord how she needs his love and how she has finally found love in God.
The chorus is all three girls finally proclaiming that they are through with love and they are finally giving it up. However in the end chorus, the ladies tell how they have found a new love, and how they found that love in God.
