Sean Michaels (born Andre Allen, on February 20, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York) is a pornographic actor. He moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles in order to begin his career in the porn industry, which he has worked in from 1989 to the present. He specializes in interracial adult films having been cast with such popular Caucasian porn starlets as Tami Monroe, Ashlyn Gere, Juanita Chong, Chessie Moore, and Cheri Taylor among others. He has also been a director of adult films since 1991 and has appeared in over six hundred porn movies.

He is one of the few African-American actors in the adult industry who is uncircumcised, aside from Sledge Hammer and Charlie Mac, both of whom have been working for a shorter time than Michaels.

Early in his career Michaels was billed as being the son of former black porn star Long Dong Silver (Daniel Arthur Mead) but actually he is two years older than Mead.

According to an adult film news web page, in 2003, Michaels was issued a cease and desist order by World Wrestling Entertainment on the use of his name due to the similarity it had to WWE wrestler Shawn Michaels. According to the same adult film web page, Sean's name was already registered as a trademark, while Shawn Michaels had not registered his moniker.

He is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame, and the XRCO Hall of Fame.

Currently Sean Michaels is working a project called Sean Michaels University His goal is to train those interested about getting into the adult industry. As quoted from their main website “From producer to performer, we teach it all.”
