[stuhk]
Stuck, Hudson, 1863-1920, American missionary and explorer, b. London, England. He emigrated to the United States in 1885, graduated from the Univ. of the South (1892), and was dean (1894-1904) of the Episcopal cathedral at Dallas, Tex. In 1905 he became archdeacon of the Yukon and spent the remainder of his life in Alaska. With three companions he accomplished the first ascent (1913) of Mt. McKinley, and he traveled extensively in N Alaska. Alaskan geography and Eskimo customs are described in his books, some of which are: The Ascent of Denali (Mount McKinley) (1914), Ten Thousand Miles with a Dog Sled (1914), Voyages on the Yukon and Its Tributaries (1917), and A Winter Circuit of Our Arctic Coast (1920).
"Stuck" is a song by Stacie Orrico, released in 2003. It can be found on her self-titled second album. It was used in the Disney Channel Original Movie's Stuck in the Suburbs.

"Stuck" was the first taste of chart success in the mainstream that Orrico received and worldwide. The single peaked at #52 in the U.S. while in the likes of Australia, the single peaked in the top 5 and in the UK the single bucked chart trends at the time by climbing inside the top 10 in its second week, peaking at #9. It was the biggest hit, however, in Japan, where it peaked at #1.
