Spinnerette

Spinnerette

Spinnerette is an American band consisting of Brody Dalle, Tony Bevilacqua (both former members of The Distillers), Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Eleven) and Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Eleven). Dalle announced the emergence of the band in March 2007.

The band was signed to Sire Records before negotiating their way out of their record contract, and has released one demo song on their website called "Case of the Swirls." In early January 2008, a 'Mashup' of material Spinnerette have been working on appeared on their official website and official MySpace page. A full album is expected to be released in 2008.

On August 8th 2008 a blog was posted on the bands Myspace announcing that fans can now hear the first song from the upcoming album via the bands official website. The song is called Valium Knights.

Recently, Brody played a live version of "Driving Song" with Queens Of The Stone Age as a backing band for the Natasha Shneider benefit concert. Lyrics for the song have been posted on Spinnerette's Myspace page.

It is also known, by a communication between the band and their suscriptors to their newsletters, that Spinnerette it's going to perform a few dates with the following allineation:

"Brody Dalle on vocals and guitar, Tony Bevilacqua on guitar, Bryan Tulao on more guitar, Nicole Fiorentino on badass bass, and Dave Hidalgo Jr on drums".

It is unknown if this is the former allineation, because there's no mention on Alain Johannes or Jack Irons, supposedly considered bandmates.

The club destinations for this little tour are among: Velvet Jones (Santa Barbara), Alex's Bar (Long Beach) and Spaceland (Silver Lake).
