Some people believe that Spangle is where Butch Cassidy
(Robert Leroy Parker) died from cancer in 1937, but the place and date of this individual's death remains unresolved.

Spangle is south of Spokane on US Route 195, an important north-south highway.

The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 2.94.
