Convention and Game Days
Traditionally held the first weekend in October, Nuke-con's annual gaming convention features a spectrum of games, from table-top and live-action role playing
to board games, card games, miniature games and computer games
. Dealer tables are positioned around the edges of the main gaming room, with other events, such as an anime/SciFi room, being located near by. Nuke-con actively promotes a family-friendly environment with age-appropriate games and activities for younger children. Recent guests have included game designers James Earnest
and Bruce Glassco, artist Aaron Williams
as well as Author David Wellington. Perennial guest-artist emeritus is Fredd Gorham.
Game Days are held periodically throughout the year and frequently emphasize a particular type of game. More information about current events and volunteer opportunities may be found at the "Fallout Shelter", Nukecon's on-line registration portal.
Nuke-Con is governed by a board of 7 volunteer members and is registered with the State of Nebraska as a Not-for-Profit Corporation.
Nuke-Con's events, game days, and annual gaming convention are managed by an all volunteer staff.
