IATA Simplifying the Business

Simplifying the Business (StB) is a phenomenal industry change programme by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Launched in 2004, the programme consists of five projects that the association says will save the airline industry over US$ 6.5 billion each year

Current projects include BCBP, IATA e-freight, CUSS, Baggage Improvement Programme and the Fast Travel Programme.

StB completed its e-ticket project on June 1, 2008. The project coverted the industry to 100% e-ticketing in four years , saving the industry US$ 3 billion, according to the association.
