Background

Assist-2-Sell, Inc. is a discount real estate company that was started by Mary LaMeres-Pomin and Lyle Martin in 1987. There are more than 450 real estate franchise offices in 44 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces. Assist-2-Sell is based in Reno, Nevada and continues to be run by LaMeres-Pomin and Martin.

The Company describes itself as a full-service discount real estate company. Franchise owners/brokers and their agents provide home sellers and home buyers with full brokerage services. Home sellers pay a low, flat fee once their home is sold, instead of a commission that is a percentage of a home's sale price.

Achievements

Hawaii Business magazine named Michael Burnstein, owner and principle broker of the Maui Assist-2-Sell® office, one of Hawaii’s 2008 “Top 100 REALTORS®.”

Mary LaMeres-Pomin and Lyle Martin were recognized as two of the “100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders” by Inman News in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Included in Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 5,000” list of the most entrepreneurial companies in 2007.

REALTOR Magazine recognized Shane May, owner/broker of Assist-2-Sell Buyers & Sellers 1st Choice in Cottage Grove, Ore., with its annual “30 Under 30” award in 2007

In 2007, Entrepreneur Magazine ranked Assist-2-Sell No. 48 in its annual “Franchise 500” list

Entrepreneur Magazine also named Assist-2-Sell one of its “Fastest-Growing Franchises” and one of “America’s Top Global Franchises” four years in a row (2004 through 2007), and one of its “Low-Cost Franchises” in 2006

Katie Johnson, owner/broker of Assist-2-Sell Hometowne River in Onalaska, Wis., was named one of REALTOR Magazine's “30 Under 30" in June 2006

The Wall Street Journal’s StartupJournal named Assist-2-Sell a “Franchise High Performer” in 2006
