Vaccaria hispanica

Vaccaria hispanica (syn. Saponaria vaccaria L., Vaccaria pyramidata Medik., Cowherb, Cowcockle, Cow-basil, Forbidden Palace Flower) is an annual flowering plant of the family Caryophyllaceae with pale rose-colored flowers. It is a native of Southern & Central Europe but occurs as a naturalised species in many other areas.

It is occasionally grown as an ornamental garden flower.
