Recruit (from the French recrue, from the verb recroître 'to grow again', i.e. replenish the ranks) can refer to:

  • a recently enlisted member of a military or paramilitary corps, still in training, as in :
  • Recruit (Japanese company), the Japanese real estate and telecommunications company
  • a rocket used as part of the Lockheed X-17
  • recomposition of lung (after distension)
  • a prospective athlete in college sports
