- Since the song "No Stranger to Shame" ends at the 3:40 mark and "After School Special" starts at the 4:41 second mark, there is an entire 1:01 of silence.
- "Keep It Comin'" was used in the video games Project Gotham Racing and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, and for commercials for Six Flags theme parks.
- Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray provided background vocals on the title track.
- "Thunderhead Hawkins" refers to an alter-ego of country music singer Hank Williams, Jr. The song is about him.
- A remix of "To Think I Used to Love You" is featured on the CD soundtrack to the film Sweet Home Alabama.
- "Drift Away" features a sample of Dobie Gray's version.
