"Put Yourself in My Place" is a song by Kylie Minogue, released as the second single from her 1994 album Kylie Minogue. The single was released on November 14 1994 and was written and produced by Jimmy Harry.
The song was a top twenty success, peaking at number eleven in both Australia and the United Kingdom. It is widely regarded as one of Minogue's finest downtempo moments, especially at live shows. Elsewhere in Europe, in countries such as Germany and France, the song charted low.
The music video was a success. The video, directed by Kier McFarlane, had Minogue recreate the opening sequence of the Jane Fonda film Barbarella. In 1995 the video won the award for the "Best Australian Video" at the Australian Music Awards.
The United Kingdom 12" vinyl single was a limited edition release.
