Powan

The powan (Coregonus clupeoides) is a species of freshwater whitefish endemic to Loch Lomond in Scotland. Freshwater whitefishes are part of the salmon family Salmonidae.

The name "powan" is sometimes also used to refer to the common whitefish (C. lavaretus).
