Diane Tell

Diane Tell (born Diane Fortin in Quebec City on 24 December 1959) is a francophone singer-songwriter from Canada. She grew up in Val-d'Or before moving to Montreal with her family in 1969.

She was part of the original 1990 production of the rock opera La Légende de Jimmy by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon.

For the Juno Awards of 1984, she was nominated as Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year.

Notes and references

The site of the Bibliothèque et Archives Nationales du Québec reveals the year Diane Tell was born (1957). By entering: Tell, Diane in the search engine, the site gives you multiple sources indicating that she was born in 1957. But the site of the Bibliothèque nationale de France claim a 1959 birth year. On her forum Diane Tell said her American passport reveals a 1959 birth year.
